CT-12 Audio-Video Cable Tester
What’s the most infuriating thing about your work? Sudden audio dropouts, unexplained network disconnections, or intermittent video signals... Chances are, 80% of these issues stem from cable failures!
The newly launched CT-12 long-range separated cable tester is here to tackle all cable-related troubles—no exceptions!
What on earth is this for?
Simply put, it’s a “health check” tool for most kinds of cables:
Network not working? Test it!
Video signal snowy? Test it!
No sound from speakers? Test it!
Power supply issues? Test it!

Three Core Features
Solving All Cable Troubles
Split-Body Design
"Separate Operation" Black Technology: The main and sub units can be separated by up to 1000 meters. Examples:
• You’re in the server room, your colleague in the meeting room—test network cables without running back and forth.
• On stage, the mixer is here, speakers are there—check lines instantly without rushing between locations.
14 Interface Types Supported
Test 95% of cables on the market:
• Audio cables: XLR 3-pin, 6.35mm stereo, RCA...
• Network/Telephone cables: RJ45, RJ11...
• Video cables: HDMI, BNC...
• Power cables: POWERCON...
No more need for multiple testers!
Status Visualization
• Red light: Continuity test (checks for broken wires)
• Green light: Signal testing (directly makes speakers emit beeps)
• Red and black probes touch: Instantly identifies the faulty wire
Why Do Professionals Love It?
· Durable & impact-resistant: Engineered plastic housing withstands drops without damage.
· Extended battery life: Two 9V batteries last for ages.
· Precise pinpointing: Doesn’t just indicate “issue”—tells you exactly which wire is faulty.
Use Cases
Cybercafe wiring, recording studio setups, engineering cabling, home networking, military installations, factory audio line inspections, stage wiring.
Audio Cable Testing:
Disconnect both ends of the cable to be tested (e.g., a three-pin microphone cable on stage).
• One end to the XLR female port of the CT-12 main unit.
• The other end to the XLR male port of the CT-12 satellite unit.
Turn on the [CABLE TESTER] test button:
· ✅ If all indicators light up synchronously → The cable is good!
· ❎ If any indicator does not light → The corresponding core wire is broken!
· ❎ If indicators flicker randomly → The wiring order is incorrect!
Carry on the cable tester after testing.
Meeting Room HDMI Cable Testing:
Testing Pins 1-10:
1️⃣ Set to [CABLE TESTER] on the main unit.
2️⃣ Set the satellite unit to [1-10 ON].
3️⃣ Check if the corresponding green LEDs light up in pairs → All good!
Testing Pins 11-19:
1️⃣ Keep the main unit unchanged.
2️⃣ Switch the satellite unit to [HDMI 11-19].
3️⃣ Check if the corresponding yellow LEDs light up in pairs → Passed!
Office Network Cable Testing:
• Disconnect the suspicious Ethernet cable from both the computer and
switch.
• Connect both ends to the RJ45 ports of the main and satellite units.
·
Power on to see:
✅ Healthy Cable: LEDs 1-8 light up sequentially.
❎ Faulty Cable: A missing LED = a broken core.
❎ Wiring Error: Flickering LEDs = incorrect pin order.
Anti-vibration foam pads keep it stable.
For:
· Sound/lighting engineers
· Network pros
· Film industry veterans
· Low-voltage installers
· Even DIY electronics enthusiasts…
...
This bad boy will save you from countless unnecessary overtime shifts! Time is money—why wouldn’t you want to wrap up early?
PS: Foam pads on the bottom prevent slippage during performances, even when placed on equipment racks. Thumbs up for meticulous design!
